The DriverMap™ Targeted RNA Sequencing Expression Profiling (EXP) Assay is a convenient single-tube RT-PCR / Next-Generation sequencing (NGS) assay that robustly measures expression levels of 19,000 human protein-coding genes from ng levels of total RNA from blood, cells, tissue, even FFPE samples. The DriverMap EXP kit includes all the enzymes, reagents, and primers to prepare NGS-ready libraries from total RNA. Open-source Salmon software is used to quantify expression levels for each gene. Further downstream analysis may be carried out using a variety of differential expression tools.
The DriverMap Targeted RNA-Seq EXP Assay is available in off-the-shelf kit formats for blood, tissue, cells or from dried blood microsamples, and as a service.

The DriverMap EXP Dried Blood kit contains additional reagents for RNA extraction from the Mitra tips as well as all the other primers and reagents required for NGS library prep included in the original DriverMap EXP Profiling kit.
To use the DriverMap EXP Dried Blood protocol, you will need to order the Neoteryx Mitra tips and GenTegra GTR-NEO Active Chemical Protection of RNA solution separately from the Neoteryx site according to the table below:

The figure above shows reproducible and sensitive expression profiling with >90% overlap in gene expression profiles obtained from two different donors whose blood was extracted using standard blood collection tubes (400 ul) and Mitra tips (30 ul), with strong correlation (r=0.94) between results.
