Single Barcode Contructs to Label Cell Populations

Barcoding labeling of cells is a useful tool for exploring variations in the biology or responses of different cell populations. In addition to our Barcode Libraries—which contain millions of unique barcodes—we also offer individual constructs with specific barcodes. These panels of individual barcode constructs can be used for a number of applications, such as the following:

  • A selected number of cells in a population can be labeled with a specific barcode for use as an experimental control for standardization or normalization purposes across different split populations of cells that are selected differently.
  • Individual barcode constructs have a similar design as the barcode constructs in our libraries and can therefore be used to test and optimize experimental procedures before starting studies with large populations of barcoded cells.
  • Cell populations labeled with different barcodes can be co-cultured, and progeny from each population can be differentially identified and analyzed after treatment.
