DriverMap Targeted RNA Sequencing Expression Profiling Service

The DriverMap Targeted RNA Expression Profiling Service measures the expression level of all 19,000 protein-coding genes in the human genome or almost 5000 mouse genes from just a few picograms of total RNA.

  • Requires as little as a few picograms of total RNA
  • More sensitive and better dynamic range than standard RNA sequencing
  • Normalized quantitative expression levels for each gene target in easy-to-analyze spreadsheet format
  • Rapid, 1-month turnaround

Obtain ultra-sensitive digital expression profiling data for all 19,000 protein-coding genes in the human genome or some 5000 mouse genes with our DriverMap Targeted RNA Sequencing platform.

DriverMap RNA-Sequencing ServiceCellecta’s DriverMap™ service is a novel, comprehensive end-to-end, whole-genome targeted expression profiling solution intended for research applications.

Cellecta’s DriverMap RNA Expression Profiling service includes:

  • RNA isolation
  • Sample QC
  • RT-PCR of samples using the DriverMap primers
  • Next-generation sequencing (NGS) run
  • Analysis to yield gene expression levels

The analysis includes deconvolution and normalization of the expression levels for each target gene.

Since the DriverMap assay is a targeted RT-PCR approach that generates a single amplicon of approximately 200 bases for each target gene, the library only has about 19,000 sequences. This is very different from RNA-Seq, where you essentially sequence the entire transcriptome. As a result, with the DriverMap assay, you can achieve a very good depth of coverage and more sensitivity than RNA-Seq, with 5-10 fold fewer reads. We typically obtain about 5 million reads per sample.
